About
An independent institute for applied AI.
We translate AI research and real-world practice into knowledge you can act on. Most writing about AI is either hype or abstraction. We work the middle: what to actually do with it, shown with real examples.
What we publish
We publish field notes on what people are doing with AI now, conversations with researchers and operators, practical guides, and brief, dated news. Our particular focus is how AI gets built into the systems companies already run, at enterprise scale.
Who we are
The Institute is independent and founder-led, started by two brothers. We're new and small, and we'd rather show you what works than tell you what's coming.
Founders
-
Nick Major
Co-founder · Engineering, product & data
A senior product engineer with over a decade building and shipping web products. He works across the full stack, from product to data to infrastructure, and spent four years teaching web development. His focus is turning complex technical material into something people can actually use.
-
Isaac Major
Co-founder · Go-to-market & enterprise
An enterprise growth and customer-experience leader with eight-plus years scaling sales and operations across CX, BPO, and financial services. He works at the front line of how companies actually adopt AI, and how to make it pay off.
Our standards
We publish under our own names and cite our sources. When something's uncertain, we say so. We don't take payment to cover or endorse a tool, and we'll disclose any relationship with something we write about. When we get something wrong, we correct it in the open. Read our full editorial standards for how all of this works.
